The GDS Merit List plays a crucial role in the selection process for GDS recruitment under UP Postal Circle. It is released after the completion of the application process and includes the names of all selected candidates. The most recent GDS First Merit List was published by India Post on March 11, 2023, along with the region-wise results. UP GDS Selection Process 2023
Candidates who applied for the Indian Post’s Gramin Dak Sevak vacancies did not have to undergo a written examination. Instead, selection was based solely on their marks in the 10th class from approved boards. A merit list was generated, and in case of a tie, candidates were selected based on their age, with the older candidate being given priority.
Documents required for UP GDS 2023
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for all recruitment rounds will be considered for the UP GDS 2nd Merit List. Those shortlisted in the list will be required to participate in the Document Verification (DV) round. The venue and schedule details for the DV round will be communicated to each candidate via email on their registered mobile number. Candidates must appear for the DV round with two sets of photocopies of their original documents.
